Earl Scharf's Obituary
Earl Scharf, 82, of Millstadt, Ill., born, January 5, 1934 in Stookey Township, IL, passed away surrounded by his loving family, Sunday, November 27, 2016 at his residence.
Earl proudly served his country in the Army. He loved to go fishing, build things, and spending time with his family and the family dog Hunter. Earl enjoyed watching the St. Louis Cardinals. He retired from Parks College.
Earl was a lifelong member of Concordia U.C.C.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Sandra Scharf, nee Briggs. His son Brian Scharf, his parents, Alfred Sr. and Henrietta, nee Haas, Scharf, his mother and father-in-law, Tracy and Estelle Briggs, his siblings, Florence (Ralph) Vogt, Hilda Scharf, Alfred Scharf Jr., Leroy (Doris) Scharf, and Elvira Scharf.
He is survived by his children, Linda Besher, Steve Scharf, Ed (Lisa) Scharf, and Susan (Mike) Schwarz, grandchildren, Brittany Besher, Brandon, Mallory, Jordan Scharf, Lindsay, Kyle, Nick Scharf and Breanne Schwarz, his great-granddaughter, Marilyn Scharf, and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Earl’s honor to Concordia U.C.C.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL.

Burial will be in Concordia U.C.C. Cemetery in Belleville, IL
