Mike, Mary, Joe, Lisa, and Danny,
My sincere condolences to you and your extended family on the passing of your father. From the time I was a child I always looked forward to seeing and hearing from my uncle Butch. Even in recent years when I would visit, he always made it a point to come by, ask how I was doing, about my boys, and how things were in Virginia, etc. It always brought me a smile hearing him pontificate about the world and the many subjects that only uncle Butch could have an opinion on. My fondest childhood memories were Friday nights when you all would come over and with a beer in one hand and a cigar in the other, he would explain what was wrong with the world :) I hung on every word. A few years back I called him Earl and he replied as only he could, “call me ‘Butch’, I’ve been ‘Butch’ my whole life”. I could only smile. With that I say to my uncle “Butch”, Godspeed, may you Rest in Peace”
Roger
