Dustin "Dusty" Matthew Kolb's Obituary
Dustin “Dusty” Matthew Kolb, 37, of Freeburg, Illinois, passed peacefully into eternal life after a brief illness at Barnes Jewish Hospital on March 29, 2023, while surrounded by family and friends. Dusty was born in Belleville, Illinois, on December 21, 1985. He was the fifth son of Jan and Robert Kolb.
Dusty was a very special young man who saw the best in everyone. He enjoyed the simple things in life like playing Mario Kart, watching DVDs, drinking orange sodas, eating ice cream, listening to country music, going for rides in the truck, spending the night with others and going to the lake. He participated in many Special Olympics events earning various medals that he was very proud of and put on display. He enjoyed a short career pushing carts at Schnucks, which he loved. He treasured the relationships he had with his family and friends. He leaves behind a legacy of great stories for those that will forever cherish his memory. Dusty brought a world of joy that leaves a significant hole in the hearts of many that adore him.
In addition to his parents, four brothers survive him: Shawn, Christian, Ryan and Joseph; and three niblings: Gabriella, Keagan and Kendall. He also leaves behind an extensive list of family and friends.
Dusty was preceded in his passing by his niece, Laney Kolb; his paternal grandparents, June and Edwin Kolb; his maternal grandparents, Bernard and Elizabeth Roach; and a cousin, Jennifer Miller.

Visitation will be on Sunday, April 2, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Illinois.
