Douglas Bolar's Obituary
Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Avery and Dorothy, nee Hatten, Bolar, his first wife, Carolyn Bolar, nee Lamb, his sisters-in-law, Sandra Bolar and JoElla Turner Huwer, and his brothers-in-law, Irvin Parks and Byron Turner Doug is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Bolar, nee Turner, his two sons, Andrew and Matthew Bolar, his daughter, Melissa (Ian) Buchanan, his siblings, Larry Bolar, Judy (Ed) Jones and June Parks, step-children, Adam Analla and Elaine (Steve) Campbell, his in-laws, Jerry and Margaret ôSkippyö Turner, his brother-in-law, Dale Huwer, he is also survived by grandchildren, nephews, the police brotherhood and many friends. Doug, a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard, was a native of Bethany, MO. His professional career was in law enforcement having served as chief of police in Sedalia, MO., director of security at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO., and as a patrolman in Kirkwood, MO. His great love was his family followed by the game of golf and college and professional sports. Memorials, flowers of course will be appreciated, but the familyÆs preference is for memorials to be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or the Humane Society.
