Dortha was preceded in death by her parents: Clifton W. & Hazel M., nee Phillips, Kelly, her first husband: Kenneth Brown, her second husband of 42 years: Charles Edwin Adams, her sons: Charles Edwin Adams Jr. & Jonathan Kelly Adams, her grandson: Adam Charles Yerby, her sister: Pauline ôPollyö (Frank) Parker and sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law: Hazel Aldridge, Edith Farrish, Bertha Adams, Johnny Young, W.H. (Duck) Adams, Beverly Adams & Harold Adams. He is survived by her daughters: Paula Gwen Dailey & Melanie (Rusty) Portell, her grandchildren: Kelly (Paul) Morris, Shannon (William) Hall-Day, Brandon (Lezlie) Portell, Charles (Corine) Adams, Amber (Michael) Harriss and Amanda (Chris) Downing, her great grandchildren: Ashely Morris, Kaitlyn Morris, Gregory Hall, Grayson Charles Hall, Breanna Portell, Brady Portell, Lucas Harriss, Olivia Mae Harriss, Madalyn Adams and Alyssa Downing, her nieces: Paulette (Peppy) Crosby and Margaret (Peggy) Cook, her special friends: Virgil and Mickey Casey, she is also survived by other relatives & friends. Dortha was a member of First Baptist Churh, VFW Post 6368 Ladies Auxiliary in Dupo, IL., former member of St. Clair County Dental Assistants and Illinois Dental Association. She worked for 30 years as a dental assistant for Dr. Edgar Wolf, DDS. Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Home (949 County Rd. 1300 N Carmi, IL. 62821).
