Dortha May Cason's Obituary
Dortha May Cason, nee Gravot, 95 years of Millstadt, IL, passed away on Friday, January 31, 2025 at her residence. She was born March 20, 1929, in East St. Louis, IL.
Dortha had work as a receptionist for State Farm and later she baby sat kids in her home and lastly worked at Kinder Care in Columbia, IL. She enjoyed watching the birds at the bird feeder and she was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Surviving are her son, Kevin (Tina) Cason, her Grandchildren, Brandi (Joey) Holliday, Hunter Cason & Jacob Cason, her great-grandchildren, Jase, Luella, Roxton and Maleah, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Cason, her son, Dan W. Cason, her brother, Joe Gravot and her parents, Joseph and Marie, nee Bridges, Gravot.
Dortha's wishes were to be cremated and there will be no services.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Millstadt Senior Center 102 So. Jefferson St., Millstadt, IL 62260 .
