Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, John & Elsie Bettis, daughter, Sharon K. Rieso, brother, Glen Bettis, sister, Marie Steiger, brothers-in-law, Percy Muskopf and Wayne Steiger. Dorothy is survived by her husband Charles Peterson, her son, Ken ôFlashö (Paula) Farley, granddaughters Stacey (Duane) Dambacher, Kendra Rieso, and Tiffany (Tim) VanMatre , great grandchildren, Ayven and Grady VanMatre. 5 step children, brother, Alvin (Gaye) Bettis, sister, Virginia Steiger, and sister-in-law, Delores Bettis. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. Memorials may be made to the Millstadt Senior Center or Hospice of Southern Illinois.
