Dorothea Wiese's Obituary
Dorothea Wiese, 68 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on Monday, April 23, 2018 at St. Anthony's Hospital in St. Louis, MO, was born September 22,1949 in St. Louis, MO.
Dorothea loved her job as an Associate for Schnuck's where she was a member of the UFCW - United Food and Commercial Workers International Union for many years. She loved helping plant flowers at Integrity Nursing Home where she resided in Columbia, IL. She loved to go camping and fishing with the kids all summer. She was a loving mother, doting grandmother and great-grandmother.
Surviving are her son, Michael Stasiak, Sr., daughters, Christina Wiese-Moncise, Heather (Rob) Burch, Elizabeth (Roy) Rea, son, William Wiese, Jr., brother, George (Peggy) McDaniel, sisters, Victoria Thielemann and Debbie (Tony) Garner, grandchildren, Samantha Flynn, Justin Wiese, Dale Rea, Michael Stasiak, Jr., Lucas Rea, Robbie Burch, Hunter Stasiak, 5 great-grandchildren, along with many other relatives and friends.
Dorothea was preceded in death by her husband, William Wiese, Jr., son, Christopher Stasiak and her parents, George and Dorothy, nee O'Brock, McDaniel.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 4 - 8 p.m., at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL. Interment will be Friday, April 27, 2018 at 12:00 p.m. in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, IL, with Rev. James Jarvis officiating.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the family.
