Doris Upchurch's Obituary
Doris Upchurch, 97 years of Dupo, Illinois, passed away on April 20th, 2024 in Chesterfield, Missouri. She was born July 16th, 1926 in Virden, Illinois to Vernie and Helen (Dykema) Wrightsman.
She married James Upchurch on March 22nd, 1947, he preceded her in death on June 23rd, 2020.
Doris was a business woman, a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother among other things. She enjoyed working, trips to Florida, but loved spending time with her family most of all.
Surviving are her daughters; Cynthia Upchurch, Rebecca Parrin, Janet (Knute) Metz, son, Gregory (Elizabeth) Upchurch, grandchildren; Knute (Richelle) Metz, Christopher Metz, Catherine Krack, James Krack, Bret (Debbie) Strobo, Christine Linn (Austin), Brian (Kelsey) Upchurch, Dylan Upchurch, and Jessica Huch (Shane), great-grandchildren, friend, Christopher Parrin, special friends, Mary (Ron) Gisher, along with other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James G. Upchurch, her sisters, and her parents; Vernie and Helen Wrightsman.
Visitation will be Saturday, April 27th from 10:00 am to 12:30 pm at Leesman Funeral Home in Columbia, Illinois with services being held at 12:30 pm.
Interment will follow in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois.
