Doris was preceded in death by her husband: Oliver Fred Huwer, her parents: John and Hilda , nee Werner, Volkmann and her sister: Pearl Osick. She is survived by her two sons: Robert (Angie) Huwer of Millstadt, IL., and Dale (JoElla) Huwer of Millstadt, IL., her grandchildren: Susanne Davis, Stephanie Bartels, Doug Huwer, Sherri Huwer and Rachel Huwer, her great grandchildren: Kate & Julia Davis, Lauren & Hannah Bartels, Marley Huwer, Alex, Lucas and Cai Raimond, her sister: Betty Kreher of Millstadt, IL., her nephew: John Kreher and her niece: Krista Desiderio. She is also survived by other relatives and friends. Doris was a home maker and had worked at the Millstadt Creamery. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt, and she had taught Sunday School at Trinity for 26 years. She was a member of the St. Clair County Home Extension for 60 years, and she was a former member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post 502 in Millstadt and she was a former member of the Millstadt Sister Cities. Memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church in Millstadt, IL. or to the charity of the donor's choice.
