So sorry to hear of Don's passing. We were out of town and couldn't make it to the visitation or service. I have many fond memories of Don and his family. Love and hugs to all of you!

Don is a man who came to the Corps regularly, even when you could tell he was in pain. He is a man who was always kind, asking about others, and talked to many at the Corps. I know it caused him great pain to walk, especially after church, but the Sunday after my brother died unexpectedly, he came to give me a hug and express his emotional caring to me. I am still appreciative of this act of Christian love, even though it cost him more pain.
I will miss Don and his heart-felt caring expressed to me.
Don was one of my best friends. I first worked with him on the Columbia Ambulance Service starting in 1975. He was a truly caring man. Then in 1978 he and I were hired by the City of Columbia and worked hand and hand till his retirement in 1996. In 1979 Don was my best man at my wedding. Don taught me many things thru life that I continue to use today.
