What can you say about someone who was a great neighbor, kind friend and just all around nice guy. We will certainly miss him very much. He was just the kind of guy you liked to have around to talk with, work with and just have around for a little fun while working.
Whenever we needed something done or something picked up in town in a busy time of year, Don was always there to help out. When it was time to bale hay on his ground (and even ours alot of the time) he just couldn't wait to rake it getting the hay ready to bale. And he was always there to help bring the loads of hay home after a long day. He was the kind of guy that always amazed us at the inventions he could come up with! Our dogs even loved to have him come around..I think he kept Rural King in business with doggie biscuit treats for them everytime he came just driving around to see what was going on. During his time at the nursing home, we tried to visit as often as possible...he always had a smile for us when we came. Even the last time Larry, Matt, Heidi and Kaitlyn came to visit, he was still able to chew down some summer sausage and enjoyed it even in his last week.
He will be missed greatly by us and please accept our sincere condolences. Larry & Marlene
