Don A. Pellmann's Obituary
Don A Pellmann, 70 years of Millstadt, IL., passed away peacefully with his wife of 24 years by his side on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at his residence. He was born April 19, 1955, in Belleville, IL.
Don received his Bachelor's degree from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. He worked as a bio medical engineer for 38 years at Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL, and later for Anderson Hospital in Maryville, IL
He was also owner & operator of The BioMed Shop for over 45 years, serving surgical centers across the Metro East and St Louis area.
Don was an active member of Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, IL., where he was currently serving on the church council and the pastoral search committee. Don served his community for over 37 years as a dedicated board member for the Millstadt Consolidated School District 160. Don was the proudest husband, dad and grandpa and was the biggest fan for anything his family was involved in from anything sports, to theater, opera and everything in between. He enjoyed mowing his grass, swimming in his pool, cooking breakfast and making his famous hamburger steaks & mashed potatoes. He also enjoyed his many years of playing softball with his Vollmer’s ball team and their endless friendships. Those monthly Tuesday breakfasts were legendary! Oh the stories they told!! And the laughs they had.
Surviving are his loving wife, Vicki Pellmann, nee Moore, his wonderfully blended family of his children, Nicole Cantu, Amber (Kent) Hackstadt, Sean (Melissa) Pellmann, Brittany Pellmann, Michael (Francesca) Dulle, Laura (Ben) Broadbent, Matthew Dulle (Tara Patrick), Annie Dulle, Mariella Pellmann, and Lukas Pellmann, his grandchildren, Asher & Levi Cantu, Charli & Catch Hackstadt, Oliver & Stevi Pellmann, Tommy Pellmann, Jeremiah, Brigham, Allison & Caden Broadbent, Laura Dulle, and Silas & Olive Gibson, his brothers, Neil Pellmann, Dale (Kathy) Pellman, along nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frederick P. and Alma "Toots" Florence Adelia, nee Giffhorn, Pellmann, his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Virgil & Dorothy Moore and his sister-in-law, Janice Pellmann.
A Celebration of Life will be held on April 18th from 12 noon -4 pm at the MCS school gymnasium. Casual
