Don A. Alford's Obituary
Don Alan Alford, 69 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on September 22, 2018 at St. Anthony's Health Center, St. Louis, MO. He was born September 7, 1949, in Belleville, IL.
Don had retired after 42 years of service with the Alton and Southern Railroad. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a member of the American Legion Post #485, Dupo, IL, where he had served as a Vice-Commander.
Surviving are his wife, Delores, nee Dedmon, Alford; sons, Todd (Corena) Woodall of Springfield, II, and Michael (Amanda) Dedmon of Marissa, IL, grandchildren, Taylor and Torri Dedmon, and Austin Woodall, brother, Greg Alford of Albers, II, sister, Jessica Alford of Fairview Heights, II, sister-in-law, Kris Solomon of East Carondelet, IL, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 27, 2018, 10:00 am - 1:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home, Dupo, IL. Graveside Services will be held 1:30 pm, Thursday September 27, 2018, at Jefferson Barracks National, St. Louis, MO.
