Dolores D. Howard's Obituary
Dolores D. Howard, 94 years, of Dupo, Illinois, passed away on December 15th, 2022 in St. Louis, Missouri. She was born on July 17th, 1928 in Dupo, Illinois to Fred and Helen, nee Lindemann, Nolte.
Dolores was a lifelong resident of Dupo, Illinois. She grew up working in the family business, Fred Nolte Bi-Rite. She was a member of both Christ U.C.C. Church of Dupo and the First Congregational Church of Dupo, where she was the organist and pianist for many years.
Surviving her are her sons; Daryl (Mary Gail) Ketten, Dale Ketten, and Fred (Raelene) Woods, sister-in-law, Rosella Nolte, grandchildren; Chris (Tara Carlson) Ketten, Brandi Ketten, and J.D. (Michele) Ketten, nieces; Melissa (Robert) Karn and Andrea (Troy) Harget, great-niece, Lindsay Harget, along with other great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, and other friends and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband McRoy "Mac" Howard, late husband, Bill C. Woods, her brother, Vernon Nolte, niece/Godchild, Denise Dolores Nolte-Hickman and parents; Fred and Helen Nolte.
Private services will be held.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Bethesda Hospice Care, 1630 Des Peres Rd. #290, St. Louis, MO 63131 or the Dupo Fire & EMS, 501 Columbia Rd., Dupo, IL 62239. Arrangements were handled by Leesman Funeral Home.
