Dixie L. Arras' Obituary
Dixie L. Arras, nee Gold, 73, of East Carondelet, Ill., born, September 13, 1942 in Pittsburg, Ill., passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2016 at her home.
Dixie was a retired cook/custodian from the Dupo Community School District. She was a member of Hope Christian Church in Columbia, Ill., and was a longtime volunteer at the food pantry at Hope Christian Church.
Dixie was preceded in death by her husband, Jude Arras, her parents, Ralph and Annie Bell, nee Burnett, Gold and her brother, Stephen Gold.
Surviving are her two sons, Thomas (Kim) Arras and Timothy (Jackie) Arras, her grandchildren, Timothy J., Miranda R., Kylie N., and Haylei M., her step-mother, Annabelle Ramey, her sister, Debbie Russell. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, many cousins and friends.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to Hope Christian Church.
Memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at Hope Christian Church (9273 Coach Stop Road) Columbia, Ill., 62236.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at 7 p.m. at Hope Christian Church in Columbia, Ill. Rev. Dennis Jones will be officiating.
At Dixie’s request cremation was held.
