Derek Wilkerson's Obituary
Derek Wayne Wilkerson, 36 years of Dupo, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023 in Millstadt, Illinois. He was born July 9, 1986 in Saint Louis, Missouri.
Derek enjoyed playing basketball and baseball. Coaching his daughter's little league softball and taking the boat out on Carlyle Lake.
He is survived by his mother, Carol (Stanberry) Wilkerson, father, David Wilkerson, his two daughters, Kailee Wilkerson and Hannah Wilkerson, his three siblings, Dustin Wilkerson, David Wilkerson, Jr., and Jami Gardner, his niece, Emma Wilkerson, his two uncles, Tim (Deana) Stanberry and Mark (Lorrie) Stanberry, his maternal grandmother, Phyllis Stanberry, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his long time partner, Rachel Wrone, grandfather, Bill Stanberry and grandparents, Mervin and Phyllis Wilkerson.
A Celebration of Life will be held July 5, 2023 from 3:00 - 5:00pm, with a service to follow at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Illinois.
