He had worked at the City of Columbia, IL in the Water Department, had been a member of American Legion Post #581 Columbia, IL, Columbia Gymnastic Association, and he was retired from the Columbia Volunteer Fire Department. He had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was married to Linda (Newton) Naumann, who survives him.
