Denise P. Oettle's Obituary
Denise P. Oettle, 66 years, of Saint Louis, MO, and formerly of Columbia, IL, passed away on September 1, 2023 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, MO. She was born May 8, 1957, in Red Bud, IL, daughter of the late Leonard P., and Marjorie, nee Fox, Smith.
Denise loved taking trips, especially if there was an ocean and beach involved. Florida, Gulf Shores, South Carolina, or the Bahamas, it didn't matter, just so the ocean and beach were there to enjoy. She loved to cook and spending time with her grandchildren was what mattered most.
Surviving are her son, Christopher Oettle of Dupo, IL; two grandchildren, Corey Oettle, and Cayden Oettle; a sister, Marsha Stamm of Columbia, IL; brother, Dennis Smith of Dupo, IL; nephews, Jim Stamm, Seann Stamm, and Clinton Smith; niece, Angie Smith; and her two dear friends, Judy Burns, and Nancy Baumann, along with other relatives and friends.
There will be no public services.
