Debra Lynn Wetzel's Obituary
Debra Lynn Wetzel, age 64, of Blackwell, MO, formerly of East Carondolet, IL., passed away on July 13, 2025, at Barnes Jewish Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. She was born July 21, 1960, in St. Louis, MO. to Edward J. Piel and Patricia Mergel, both of whom preceded her in death.
Debra was a very loving mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family, especially taking them to the movie theatre.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Jessica Piel, daughter and son-in-law, Cortney and Jonathon Dillard, grandchildren, Haley, Ayden, Ashton, Jaice, Sylas, Liam, and Everlee, along with several siblings and other family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Charles Wetzel.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 am Tuesday July 22, 2025, at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery, St. Louis, MO.
