David M. Stumpf's Obituary
David M. Stumpf, 68 yrs., of Godfrey, IL, and formerly of Columbia, IL, passed away at St. Anthony's Hospital Alton, IL. He was born in East St. Louis, IL, the son of the late Gustav and Cecelia (Reiter) Stumpf. David was retired from Smurfit Stone, Alton, IL, and Creve Coeur, MO, where he had worked as a Systems Analyst, some 19 years of service. He had served in the U.S. Army and Army Reserves. He was a past President of the Columbia Jaycees and one of the founders of the BlueJays Football Organization in Columbia, IL, had served Columbia as a past Alderman and EMT, and was an active member at Grace Church, Maryland Heights, MO. He was married to Bobbette (Heintz) Stumpf, who survives him.
