David Evin Sikes' Obituary
David Evin Sikes, 67, of Millstadt, Ill., born August 24, 1949 in East St. Louis, Ill., passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at his residence.
Mr. Sikes was a truck driver for Robert “Chick” Fritz beer distributor in Belleville, Ill. He was a member of the St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, Ill., the VFW Post 7980 in Millstadt, Ill., & the Millstadt Jaycees. He was a United States Vietnam Veteran of the Marines.
He was preceded in death by his daughter who passed away January 24, 1991, Kerri K. Sikes & his parents, E.J. & Clara, nee Berkel, Sikes.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Judith Sikes, Reynolds, who he married September 7, 1968, his daughter, Krista (Randy) Clark, his sister, Jean Marie (Paul) Buttici, his grandchildren, Kerri, Cole, & Kylie Clark, his sisters-in-law, Donna Reynolds & Roberta Hasko. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives & friends.
Memorials may be made to the Greater St. Louis American Parkinson Disease Association Jack Buck Chapter, 1415 Elbridge Payne Rd. Suite 150, Chesterfield, MO. 63017.
Visitation will be on Friday, September 23, 2016 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill., and on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill., with Fr. Gene Neff, officiating.
At Mr. Sikes request, cremation will follow the service.
Inurnment will be in Mount Evergreen Cemetery in Millstadt, Ill.
