David Johnson, Sr.'s Obituary
David Johnson, Sr., 71, of Many, LA, was surrounded by several loved ones as he peacefully passed away at his home on August 4th. He was born in East St. Louis, IL, on January 4, 1941, son of the late Charles Henry and Elizabeth Luke Johnson of Lutcher, LA.Mr. Johnson graduated from Lutcher High School in Louisiana before joining the U.S. Navy. He was trained as a fire control technician and served on the USS Helena in Southern California from 1958 until 1962. Following his service, David made his career in the electrical field. He enjoyed fishing and boating out his back door on beautiful Toledo Bend Lake. Other hobbies included bow hunting, competitive darts, motorcycle competitions, building and flying radio controlled airplanes, and spending time with his family. Mr. Johnson was a member of the Baton Rouge American Legion Post 401, the Illinois Dart Assoc., Missouri Dart League, Dart Players of America, American Dart Assoc., and the Southern IL Dart Assoc..ServicesA private family service will be held at a later date.Mr. Johnson gifted his remains to the Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
