Hey Dave,
Remember when we were roofing my house back in '92 and I turned around to find some guy standing there wanting a job, and you thought I knew him but I didn't know who the heck he was or where he came from?
Or how about when we were in Highland camping with your parents and you persuaded the kids to run around in the cold rain? And remember how hard you were laughing that one Christmas when the kids were small and Leslie opened her present, looked at Adam and said, "I got a THING, Bubba!"
We once talked about feeling as though we had already lived during the best of times - we've heard the best songs on the radio, seen the best shows on TV and saw the best movies...we both seemed to think that nothing could beat what had already been done in those respects, but if we never heard another song or saw another TV program, we would have been more preoccupied doing things in life that were much more worthwhile - sharing good times with our family and friends.
There may not be any more roofing jobs, fishing trips, movies and television shows, but I wanted you to know that your little sister, the boys and I will always remember what a great guy you were...not only to us, but to your co-workers, teammates and friends whose lives you have touched so deeply. You will be sorely missed.
We love you Dave.
Your brother-in-law and friend,
Nat
