David William Grimm's Obituary
David William Grimm, 81 years of Dupo, IL, passed away on November 17, 2018 at Saint Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born June 11, 1937, in Kimmswick, MO.
David served his country in the United States Marine Corps. He was a retired truck driver for SS Trucking and also worked for Freight Express for 27 years. He belonged to Allied Auto Racing Club, winning the championship in 1973. He was an avid poker player, and belonged to the group "The Dirty Dozen."
Surviving are his wife Neta "June" nee Louvier Grimm, his son Gary (Pam) Grimm, his daughters, Leann Grimm, Elisebeth (Matthew) Enderle; his grandchildren, David Kofron, Joshua Olvitt, Abigail Cooper, Mya Enderle, Gavin Enderle, Victoria Knoll, Benjamin Gormley, David Meyer, his great-grandchildren, David and Haley Kofron, Chelsea Olvitt, Jude and Wyatt Knoll, Dillon Coates, and Shannon Meyer; his five sisters, Liz Abel, Ruth Elmore, Jeannie Russo, Martha Dolios, Theresa Henderson; his brothers, Paul Grimm, and John (Peggy) Grimm; numerous nieces and nephews; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, William F. Grimm; mother, Mary nee Stockel Grimm; sisters, Mary, Sarah, and Ester; and his brother Daniel.
Visitation will be Monday, November 19, 2018 at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL from 4:00-6:00 PM. Services will be held at 6:00 PM following the visitation, with Reverend Doris Edwards, officiating.
