David Lee Chandler's Obituary
David Lee Chandler, 76 years of Dupo, IL., passed away on April 5, 2018 at his residence. He was born April 13, 1941 in East St. Louis, IL. to Ernest D. & Dorothy M., nee Hanes, Chandler Sr.
Mr. Chandler honorably served in the United States Air Force. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 474 A.F. & A.M. in Columbia, IL., Shriner's Ainied Temple in East St. Louis, IL., where he was in the Provost Guard for 32 years, American Legion Post 485 in Dupo, IL. and a member of the Metro East Social Singles. He retired from Laclede Gas in July 1998.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest D. & Dorothy M., nee Hanes, Chandler, Sr., his brother, Ernest D. Chandler, Jr. and his sister-in-law, Gail Williams Chandler.
He is survived by his uncle, Elmer K. Hanes Jr., his niece, Nicole (Sean) Wagner, his nephew, Scott Chandler, his longtime friends, Gerry Schaefer, Orval & Mary Riebeling and many, many friends.
Visitation will be on Thursday, April 12, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL.
Memorial Service will be on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL., with Rev. Matt Friz, officiating.
Inurnment will be in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO., with full military honors.
