Darlene Ann Johnson, 84 years of Prairie Du Rocher, IL, passed away on January 6, 2024 at Memorial Hospital of Belleville, IL. She was born December 21, 1939, in Prairie Du Rocher, IL.
Darlene was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
Surviving are her brother, Ernie (Wanda) Samson, three daughters, Barb (Dennis) Ahne, Brenda (Joseph) Butler, and Donna (Michael) Ames, son, Virgil Johnson Jr., eight grandchildren, Roger (Erika) Johnson, Randy (fiancée Sonni Merlenbach) Ahne, Ryan Ahne, AJ Butler, Kyle (Jennifer) Butler, Brittney (Jack) Jacquot, Brandon Ames, and Dominick Ames, and six great grandchildren, Madilyn and Cameron Johnson, Isaac and Alec Butler, Brysen Ahne, and Samuel Jacquot, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by husband, Virgil Johnson, father, Bernard Samson, mother, Mildred Samson, and sister Dorothy Frisch
Visitation will be Thursday, January 11, 2024, 10:00 am - 12:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home Red Bud, IL. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Sparta, IL.
