Darlene Louise Bennett's Obituary
Darlene Louise Bennett, nee Longcor 80 years of Red Bud, IL., passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018 at her residence in Benson, AZ. She was born March 27, 1937 in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Red Bud, IL. She worked for UI Cooperative extension for about 15 years. She loved to crochet, put puzzles together and pop bubbles (physical & cyber).
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Marion Bennett, her sons, Marion Wendell Bennett & Brian Herbert (Rhonda) Bennett, her grandchildren, Chris (Brian) Hudak, Timothy Bennett, Billy Bennett, James Bennett, Rebecca Bennett, Alyssa Bennett & Drake Bennett, her great grandchildren, Dylan, Olivia, Malachi, Jordan, Joseph & Elizabeth; along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her by her parents, Ernest & Lorraine, nee Van Ness, Longcor, her sister, Sondra Barr, nee Longcor, her brother, Buster Longcor & her son, Billy Gene Bennett.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Red Bud, IL.
Funeral Service will be on Saturday, January 20, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Red Bud, IL., with Pastor Ben Chapman, officiating.
Interment will follow in the Red Bud City Cemetery in Red Bud, Illinois.
