Dan reached out to me when I hamd my tumor even though we hadn’t seen each other since we were kids. He inspired me with his thoughtful spirit. My heart bleeds for his family and all of the Whelans today. Lucie Cashore Smoker

There are no words that can describe the lost of Dan Whelan. My first encounter with the Whelan family was Christmas Eve midnight mass in 2012. Deb and I sat in the pew in front of them. During the celebration of song leading up to the start of mass, they were the loudest group of people. I embarrassed myself by turning around to look to see who this cheerful family was. I just just could not pass it up. I then had the opportunity to make a friend during the ACTS Retreat where Dan was my Table Lead. Dan taught me many things about faith and family. I will truly miss you!
