Dale Bernard Mattingly's Obituary
Dale Bernard Mattingly, 81 yrs., of Red Bud, IL and formerly of Columbia, IL, passed away at St. Clare Health Care Center, Fenton, MO. Dale was born in the midst of the depression on May 28, 1935, in Belgique, MO. In spite of an early bout with polio, Dale led a full and happy life. After high school he attended Bradley University in Peoria, IL, to study watch making. Dale met the love of his life, Charlotte, in 1957 and married her the next year. Dale, his wife and their family ran a jewelry store for over 40 years. He loved to boat, play poker and fix and repair almost anything. He was very proud of his family and told them he loved them often. Dale made friends wherever he went and will be sorely missed.
