I first met Dale at Magna Bank in Cahokia, IL when he took over the bank there and I worked there. Dale was the nicest person, funny, never knew a stranger and always happy. I always remember Dale whistling. Then when I worked for Cahokia School District, Dale would come in periodically to talk to our CFO and always stopped and talked to me. He was a great boss and a great person. I am so sad he is no longer here, he will be missed by so many. I am so sorry Linda and for your family for your loss.

I met Dale my freshman year at ISU where he was our floor president. He was welcoming, friendly, enjoyed a joke or gag (shaving cream on the phone receiver was a common prank), enjoyed sports, always organizing or participating in something. There was frequently a Pinochle game in his room. When he visited after joining the Reserves he said they made him a sergeant as he was a big guy – I knew he made sergeant as he was a natural leader and had the ability to get people to work together. Reading his obituary, it is clear Dale was a great asset to the community, as he had been in college. I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing. My sincere condolences to his family. I am so sorry to about Dale’s passing. Our prayers go out to you and your family. Dale was so good about making his visits to the funeral home when one of our family passed that’s why I am so sorry we can’t make our visit because we have Covid. I will always remember seeing the two of you at Juniper at Cardinals ballgame.
