Curtis J. Bachelier's Obituary
Curtis J. Bachelier, 85 yrs., of Columbia, IL, passed away at Columbia Rehab. and Nursing Center, Columbia, IL. He was born in Prairie Du Rocher, IL, the son of the late Prosper and Ada (Godier) Bachelier.
Curtis was retired as a supervisor with Banner Iron Works, St. Louis, MO. He was a certified landscaper and had worked at several local nurseries and golf courses. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working outdoors, and following the St. Louis Cardinals each season. Playing the harmonica was his passion, for which he was well-known. He served in the U.S. Army, and was a Veteran of WWII.
He was married to the late Verna (Buettner) Bachelier. They were married on June 28, 1953, at Columbia, IL. She had passed away March 24, 2004.
