Clyde Peter Weible's Obituary
Clyde Peter Weible, 86, of Smithton, Ill., born, December 8, 1928 in Detroit, MI., passed away, Sunday, September 27, 2015 at Freeburg Care Center in Freeburg, IL.
Clyde worked in the electrical industry all of his life and had served as plant manager at Golden Dipt in Millstadt, Ill. . He was a member of Local 309 for 68 years, the Smithton Senior Center, and Zion Evangelical Church, in Millstadt, IL. Clyde also served on the MCS 160 School Board for 10 years, 7 of which he served as the School Board President. He was a United States Army veteran during the Korean Conflict , serving overseas in Germany.
Clyde was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Elsa (nee Peter) Weible, infant brother Donald Weible, in-laws Otto and Olinda Mueller, brothers-in-law, Herbert Mueller and Robert Weis.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 62 years, Helen, (nee Mueller), Weible, son, Paul (Susan) Weible, daughter, Bonnie (Scott) Burner, son, Dan (Julie) Weible, grandchildren, Heather (Justin) Ried, Erica (Greg) Uhrhan, Raynel (Jon) Knight, Evan (Desiree) Burner, Noah Burner, Caleb and Danielle Weible, 6 great-grandchildren, brother, Lyle (Sharon) Weible, brothers and sisters-in-law, Myrtle Weis, Kermit and Suzanne Mueller. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Memorials may be made to Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill., or to Family Hospice, 5110 W. Main St., Belleville, Ill., 62226
Visitation: friends may call on Tuesday, September 29, 2015 from 4-8 p.m. at Strauss-Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill., and on Wednesday, September 30, 2015 an hour before the service at the church.
Funeral: Funeral services will be held at Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at Zion Evangelical Church in Millstadt, Ill., Rev. Darrell Weber & Rev. Dr. Lyle Weible, officiating.
At Clyde’s request he will be cremated following the services and private family burial will take place at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis County, MO.
