Clarence "Ed" E. Schutte's Obituary
Clarence "Ed" Schutte, 93 years, of Columbia, Illinois passed away on June 6th, 2024 in St. Louis, Missouri. He was born July 2nd, 1930 in De Soto, Missouri to Jeremiah and Pearly (Gibbons) Schutte.
He married Barbara Weisenborn on September 30th, 1978 in Columbia, Illinois. Ed was a field engineer with SCM and later a grocery clerk at National Food Store. He was also a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia, Illinois.
Surviving are his sons: Jerald H. (Barbara) Schutte and David (Mitzy) Schutte, daughter, Donna Friedman, brothers: Robert L. Schutte and Ronald J. (Paulina) Schutte, nephew, Allen (Wyona) Farmer, along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Schutte, parents, Jeremiah and Pearl Schutte, daughter, Sylvia Sumner, and infant sister, Hallie Schutte.
Visitation will be Monday, June 10th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at St. Paul U.C.C in Columbia. Services will be held Monday, June 10th at 11:00 am at St. Paul U.C.C. with Pastor Jonathan Bangera. Interment will follow in the Evangelical St. Paul Cemetery in Columbia, Illinois.
