Christopher D. Whittington Sr.
Christopher D. Whittington Sr., 49 years of Valmeyer, IL, passed away on June 8, 2019 at Mercy Hospital South, St. Louis, MO. He was born August 29, 1969, in East St Louis, IL.
He was member of the 777 Mechanic's Union. He was an outdoors man that loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed playing baseball and hockey into adulthood. He was a diehard Blues fan. He was a devoted husband and family man. He was a great story teller.
Surviving are his wife, Katina nee Nichols Whittington; his mother, Gwen Rapert; his four Sons, Christopher (Taisha) D. Whittington, Jr., Mason Whittington, Adam Browning, Jr., Brian Elms; his daughter, Brooke Browning; his two grandsons, Christopher Whittington, III, Karter Whittington; his three granddaughters, Korie Stricklin, Kenlei Cobb, Charlei Whittington,; his brother, Paul (Missy) Whittington; his sister, Angie (Glen) Mank; his father and mother-in-law, Jerry and Rhonda Nichols, Sr.; his nephew, Doug Mank, along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Doug Crank; his father, Ron Rapert; his grandmother, Grace Whittington; his grandfather, Walter Whittington; his two uncles, Gene Whittington, and Scott Whittington.
Memorial Visitation will be Saturday, June 22, 2019, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm, at Leesman Funeral Home - Dupo, IL. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 4:00 PM, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, with Fr. Mark Reyling officiating. Per Christopher's wishes he was cremated.
