Christine Marie Stechmesser's Obituary
Christine Marie (Liefer) Stechmesser, 53 years, of Red Bud, passed away on December 26th, 2023 at Red Bud Regional Care in Red Bud, Illinois. She was born October 28th, 1970 at Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, Illinois to Leroy and Dorothy (Lindwedel) Liefer.
She married Brad Stechmesser on October 18th, 1997 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Renault, Illinois. Christine was an animal lover and a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Red Bud, Illinois.
Surviving is her husband, Brad Stechmesser, sons; Nikolas and Christian Stechmesser, sister, Susan (Kirk) Ray, nephew, Austin Ray, mother-in-law, Donna Holcomb, father-in- law and step-mother-in-law Arlin and Diane Stechmesser, brothers-in-law, Shane (Leanna) Stechmesser and Terry (Laurie) Holcomb Jr., sisters-in-law; Angie Cissell and Nikki (Craig) Pelate, along with many other nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Leroy and Dorothy Liefer, and step-father-in-law, Terry Holcomb.
Visitation will be Saturday, December 30th, 2023 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home in Red Bud, Illinois. Services will follow on Saturday, December 30th, 2023 at 1:00 pm in Red Bud, Illinois with Pastor Mark Nebel officiating.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church or Helping Strays of Monroe County.
