Cheryl Jean Schmeder's Obituary
Cheryl Jean Schmeder, nee Rogers, 61 of Millstadt, Ill., born February 5, 1954 in St. Louis, MO., passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 as a result of a car accident, at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Cheryl worked as a pre-certification clerk for Prairie Cardiology in Belleville, Ill.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her father, William A. Rogers, her father-in-law, Clyde W. Schmeder and her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Edmund R. Shelby and Mr. & Mrs. Ellison “Buzz” Paul.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Schmeder, her son, Kyle Schmeder (Amelia Lilley) of Belleville, Ill., her daughter, Katelyn Schmeder (Kyle Gregurec) of Millstadt, Ill., her sister, Deborah Kay (David) Scharf of Millstadt, Ill., her brother, William “Randy” (Cindy) Rogers of Swansea, Ill., her mother, Venita Jane Rogers of Swansea, Ill., her mother-in-law, Gladys Schmeder of El Paso, Ill., her nephews, Jeffrey Scharf, Brent (Melissa) Scharf, Aaron Scharf all of Millstadt, Ill., Matthew (Michelle) Rogers of Swansea, Ill., her nieces, Laura (William Posadas Villatoro) Rogers of St. Louis, MO., Sydni Schmeder of El Paso, Ill., her aunt, Kathy (Nolan) Von Feldt of Collinsville, Ill., her sister-in-law, Dorothy (Richard) Steward of Alton, Ill., her brother-in-law, Steve (Amy) Schmeder of El Paso, Ill. She is also survived by other relatives and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Family.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Strauss-Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill.
Funeral Service will be on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Strauss-Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, Ill., with Rev. Matt Friz, officiating.
At Cheryl’s request, cremation will follow the services and inurnment will take place at a later date in Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights, Ill.
