Cheryl D. Schaefer's Obituary
She was preceded in death by her parents: Arthur Stone & Geraldine Bradley, nee Schuifelder, her sister: Margaret Johnson, and her son: Curtis Anthony Schaefer. She is survived by her husband: Robert D. Schaefer Sr. whom she married on November 8, 1968, her son: Robert D. Schaefer Jr. (fiancΘ: Ruth Curry), two daughters: Tammra (James) Link, Holly Schaefer (fiancΘ: Matt Jackson), seven grandchildren: Brandon, Bradley, Brianna and Billy Schaefer, Curtis, Aaron and Trevor Link, sisters: Geraldine (Stanley) Cummins and Gloria (Doug) Baker. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Cheryl was a registered nurse at Cahokia Nursing & Rehab & had previously worked at St. ElizabethÆs Hospital and Memorial Hospital in Belleville, IL. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Millstadt, IL., & St. James Alter Sodality. She was an EMT for Millstadt Ambulance Department then later went to school for her nursing degree. She loved to play bingo with her friends. Besides bingo she loved camping, shopping and playing with her grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Millstadt Ambulance Service or to St. James Catholic Church debt reduction fund or to Masses at St. James.
