Chad Swan's Obituary
George Chadwick "Chad" Swan, 50 years of Columbia, IL, passed away on June 14, 2018 at Barnes Jewish Medical Center, St. Louis, MO. He was born July 20, 1967, in Wheatridge, CO. He was married to Michelle, nee Griffith, Swan, who survives him. They were married October 17, 1998, in Ft. Lupton, CO.
Also surviving are his son, Joey Swan of Columbia, IL; mother, Judith, nee Satriano, Swan of Casper, WY; brother, Matthew (Meg) Swan of Casper, WY; nieces and nephews, Emma, Ryan, Elise, Michael, and Marissa Swan; along with other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, George Henry Swan, III.
Chad graduated from Colorado State University with a major in Finance. He worked as a trader on the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange, was a partner at Miller Trading/Commodities, then ended his career as a Power Trader at Williams Energy in Tulsa, OK, and later at Ameren Illinois.
Chad enjoyed his family and supporting his son in all his endeavors. He especially loved being his son, Joey's handler/crew chief for Swan Racing.
Memorial visitation will be Friday, June 29, 2018, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm, at St. Paul United Church of Christ, Columbia, IL. Memorial Services will follow at 4:00 pm, at church with Rev. Kristofer Avise-Rouse officiating.
