Carolyn Lou Fink's Obituary
Carolyn Lou Fink, 88 years of Ellis Grove, passed away on July 12, 2025 at Addington Place of Sparta. She was born March 15, 1937, in Evansville, IL to Ernst and Vesta (Jones) Salger.
After graduating from Sparta High School, Carolyn started working as a secretary at International Shoe Company in Evansville, IL. For several years she had the pleasure of being a stay-at-home mom. Later on, she enjoyed working at True Value in Red Bud and then for Jerron Quality Color, until her retirement. Carolyn enjoyed creating beautiful oil paintings and sketches. She loved the art of sewing, quilting and crocheting. Enjoying the outdoors, Carolyn loved tending to her garden and flowers. She was a much loved grandmother and great-grandmother, always treasuring her time with her family.
Surviving are her Daughters, Linda (Samuel) Sterrett, Laurie Schrader and Lana (Corey) Roscow; Grandchildren, Gwendolyn Sterrett, Timothy (Samantha) Schader, Daniel (Anna) Schrader, Joshua (Hannah) Roscow and Jacob Roscow; Great-Grandchildren, Elliana, Charles and Theodore Schrader, Vivian and August Schrader, and Grayson and Addalie Roscow; along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Richard Fink; Parents, Ernst and Vesta Salger; Siblings, Carl (Grace) Salger and Nola (Harry) Hanebutt.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 16, 2025, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at St. Peter's Lutheran Church-Evansville and Thursday, July 17, 2025, 9:00 am - 10:00 am. Services will be held Thursday, July 17, 2025, 10:00 am at St. Peter's Lutheran Church-Evansville, with Rev. Randy Fischer officiating. Interment will follow in the Ellis Grove Cemetery.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Evansville, IL.
