Caroline Carrie Asselmeier's Obituary
Caroline "Carrie" Asselmeier was born in Maeystown, IL, daughter of the late Charles and Manie Krone. She had a long career teaching in one-room schoolhouses throughout Monroe County, including; Hayden School in Renault, Bluff School, New Hanover School, Goeddeltown School, Gall School, then with the Valmeyer School District, and finally with the Dupo School District when she retired. Memberships include St. Paul United Church of Christ Women's Fellowship, Monroe County & Dupo Retired Teachers Associations, Columbia Women's Club, Order of the Eastern Star - Rob Morris Chapter, and the Order of the White Shrine. She was the wife of the late Alfred Asselmeier who had passed away July 1, 1962. They were married June 15, 1930.
