Carol Ann Ellis' Obituary
Carol Ann Ellis, nee Ladd, 75 years old of Kyle, TX, passed away on Monday, May 7, 2018 at her residence. She was born July 27, 1942, in Moline, IL.
Carol was the Owner/Operator of Ellis Insurance and Carol E's License Service in Cahokia, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethard & Clara, nee Leonard, Ladd.
Surviving are her Three Daughters, Mary Burgstrum of Kyle, TX., Linda Theis of Millstadt, IL. & Elizabeth (Tom Wilfong) Koesterer of Belleville, IL.; her Five Grandchildren, Crystal (Glenn) Braun of Austin, TX., Jamie (Chris) Brown of Millstadt, IL., Connor (Ashley) Davis of Millstadt, IL., Devan (Mike) Nussbaumer of Freeburg, IL. & Niki Koesterer of Freeburg, IL.; her Three Great-Grandchildren, Ayda Brown, Brynlee Brown & Kolten Nussbaumer; her Sister, Darlene (John) Staufenbiel; her dear friends, Chrissy Rosales & Jesse Wright, her dog of many years, Cha Cha, along with other relatives and friends.
Carol came from a long line of female entrepreneurs and small business owners, as a divorced mother of 3, with a 9th grade education and just a few thousand dollars in her pocket she started a woman owned small business in February 1992. Carol retired in 2015 and moved to Texas but still kept a hand in the business working part time from home. Ellis Insurance is still in business today, owned and operated by her daughter Linda. She enjoyed spending her free time with friends going to lunch and coffee hours.
Visitation will be on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:30 p.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Millstadt, IL.

At Mrs. Ellis' request, cremation will take place following the services.
