Carol Ann Campbell's Obituary
Carol Ann Campbell, nee Caraway, 64 years of Troy, IL, passed away at 1:20 AM, Monday, March 9, 2020 at Barnes Jewish Medical Center in St. Louis, MO.
Carol was born April 5, 1955, in East Saint Louis, IL to Billy Lee and Doris Ann (Halasey) Caraway. She married Kenneth John Campbell at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dupo on June 28, 1986.
Carol was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Dupo. She volunteered her time with the finance council at St. Jerome's Catholic Church in Troy for many years. She tirelessly volunteered her time at various places, and enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a loyal, giving woman with a distinct personality, and great sense of humor. She was an angel, with the right mix of a devilish personality. She was caring, and always more worried about others than herself.
Surviving are Husband, Ken Campbell of Troy; Mother, Doris Ann Caraway of Mascoutah; Daughter, Kristina (Brendan Hampton) Campbell of Troy, IL; Two Brothers, Dennis (Angela) Caraway of Algonquin, IL, and Doug (Tracy) Caraway of Waterloo, IL; Two Nieces, Michelle (Scott) Joers of Germany, and Amie (Gregg) Johannes of St. Louis, MO; Two Nephews, Joshua (Naomi Grovenburg) Caraway of Kronenwetter, IL, and Michael (Mary) Caraway of Oak Parks, MI; Sister in law, Jean Ellen (Kevin) Oesterle of Swansea, IL; Brother in law, Michael (Renee) Campbell of Fairview Heights, IL. She is also survived by many close friends and family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Lee Caraway.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, IL. The memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2020 11:00 AM, also at Leesman Funeral Home, with Rev. Urban Gaxiola, officiating. Inurnment will follow at 3:00 PM on Saturday, in the Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Illinois.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to Metro East Humane Society in Edwardsville, or Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo.
