Carl J. Smith, 82, of Columbia, Illinois, passed away at St. Anthony's Hospital, St. Louis, MO. He was born in Mammoth Spring, AR, the son of the late Lee and Nettie Smith. He was retired from Hager Hinge Company, St. Louis, MO. He served in the US Army, and was as a veteran of the Korean War. He was married to Norma (Stephens) Smith, who survives him. They were married on June 16, 1956, in East St. Louis, IL.
