Bobby Gean Gross' Obituary
Bobby Gean Gross, 67 years of Red Bud, IL, died at his home on April 24, 2024. He was born in East St. Louis to Woodrow and Gladys (Williams) Gross 0n June 25, 1956.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Darrell Gross, sisters Deborah Vitale and Donna Renfro. Nephews Larry Vitale, Matthew Gross and Adam McBride in infancy.
He is survived by his longtime companion Carolyn Hoggard. Brothers, Wayne (Carol) Gross, Ronald (Sue) Gross, and Mark Gross. Sisters, Peggy Kruckeberg, and Theresa (Terry) Dyer. Bob had many nieces and nephews that he loved dearly.
Bob was also survived by Gary Hoggard, David Hoggard and Kristine Hoggard. His nieces and nephews Erica Jackson, Adam Hoggard, Kaitlyn, Geoffrey Hoggard, Kelsey Beabout, Megan Wall, Samantha and Karly Hoggard. Many great nieces and nephews.
Bob was preceded by Mark Hoggard and Paige Hoggard in infancy.
Bob spent his childhood in Caseyville, IL. He was a graduate of Belleville West High School. He worked at St. Elizabeth Hospital and retired from St. Louis County Public Library.
Bob enjoyed hiking, exploring geological sites, camping, fishing, and taking Sunday drives. He also enjoyed gardening and loved his plants. Bob was known to many as "Uncle Bob". He was an all-around good guy and will be greatly missed.
Bob has requested cremation, there will be no public services.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
