Dave, I am so very sorry for the passing of your dad. Tim always speaks fondly of him. Sending you are love and prayers.
My fondest memory of my Uncle Bob was when he came home from service, dressed in his uniform. We lived in a little house on Main St. two doors from Kruse Chevrolet in Columbia, IL. Uncle Bob stood in the middle of our kitchen singing his rendition of "Shake, Rattle & Roll". My sister, brother and I thought he was hilarious & begged for encores; Mother did not share our joy & soon found us something to do.
The last time I saw Uncle Bob in 2018, we had gone out to eat. As we were leaving the restaurant, Uncle Bob put his hat back on & someone thanked him for his service to our country.; he just beamed & shared that he had served in the Korean War.
Thanks for your service, Uncle Bob.
Go rest high on that mountain.
Love, Darla
