Billie Sue Gilmore's Obituary
Billie Sue (Hauenstein) Gilmore, age 83, died August 25, 2006, at her residence. Billie was born on September 11, 1922 to William H. and Ethel Susan (nee Moles) Hauenstein.She was married to Lloyd T. Gilmore August 1957, who preceded her in death October 1987. She was also preceded in death by her father, mother, and three brothers: Bennett, Kenneth, and Russell, and four sisters: Corinne Bottoms, Elizabeth Walton, Lucille Haribson, and Phyllis Hall. She is survived by sister-in-law Coral Lee Hauenstein and brother-in-law Milton Hall: nephew Jeff (Sheri) Hall and their children Peter and Hank; first born nieces Jeanne (Fred) Luetkemeier and Beverly (Bud) Guenther, and 15 other nieces and nephews, and many great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by step-daughter Janet Dawdy and step-son Daniel T. Gilmore and their children. In addition, Billie is survived by special friends Betty Ann Williams and Carrie Kettler, which have been with her throughout her illness. She was also survived by many other close friends. Billie retired after being in retail management for 45 years. She was a past member of the Order of Eastern Stars for 32 years, Cahokia Professional Woman's Club, and a member of the American Legion and St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia, IL.
