Beverly H. Schoenbeck's Obituary
Beverly H. Schoenbeck, 84 years, of Baldwin, Illinois passed away on June 12th, 2024 in Freeburg, Illinois with her husband of 64 years by her side. She was born July 28th, 1939 in Rolette, North Dakota to Joseph and Iva (Everson) Lemieux. She married Richard Schoenbeck on October 10th, 1959 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baldwin, Illinois.
She was a long time member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Baldwin as well as a member of the Lady's Aid, Lady's Auxillary and taught Sunday school. She was the treasurer for the town of Baldwin and then later worked for U.S. Postal Service. Beverly enjoyed quilting, sewing and crocheting, as well as spending time with her family.
Surviving are her husband, Richard Schoenbeck, sons: Gary (Linda) Schoenbeck, Mark (Theresa) Schoenbeck, and Scott (Chrystie) Schoenbeck, siblings: Phyllis Tonneson, Paul (Linda) Lemieux, and LaVern (Dee) Lemieux, sister-in-law, Patsy Schoenbeck, grandchildren, Brian (Jamie) Schoenbeck, Bruce (Haleigh Rock) Shoenbeck, Joshua (Audrey) Schoenbeck, Ryan Schoenbeck, Grace (Jason Dobyns) Schoenbeck, Hannah Schoenbeck, and Lydia Schoenbeck, great-grandchildren: Kaitlin, Rhett, Reed, Blake, and Ethan, and step-great grandchild, Elsie Rock, along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Iva Lemieux, in-laws, Clarence and Esther Schoenbeck, brother, Howard (Lavina) Lemieux, and brothers-in-law, Roger Schoenbeck and Merlin Tonneson.
Visitation will be Sunday, June 16th, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Leesman Funeral Home in Red Bud, Illinois. A second visitation will be held, Monday, June 17th, 2024 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at St. John's Lutheran Church in Baldwin, Illinois with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am with Pastor Cliff Adair officiating.
In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be directed to the St. John's Lutheran Organ Fund, 312 S. 5th St, Baldwin, IL 62217 or to Vitas Hospice Care, 8 Executive Drive, Fairview Heights, IL 62208
