Betty Jean Smith's Obituary
Betty Jean Smith, nee Illert, 83, of East Carondelet, Ill., born December 21, 1932 in Dupo, Ill, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2016.
Mrs. Smith was a member of Christ United Church of Christ in Dupo, Ill. She retired as a nurses aid from St. Mary’s Hospital in East St. Louis, Ill.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her parents, Adam & Alma, nee Eckert, Illert and her former husband, Henry C. “Ducky” Smith.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her son, Richard (Carrie) Smith, her daughter, Carol Smith, her half- brother, Roy Illert, her grandchildren, Beth (Mike) Reagan & Brandie Smith, her great grandchildren, Sage & Michael Reagan Jr., and Lili Smith. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In lieu flowers, memorials may be made to Christ United Church of Christ or Donor’s Choice.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 from 9-11 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Leesman Funeral Home in Dupo, Ill., with Pastor Todd Mushaney officiating.
Burial will be in Valhalla Gardens of Memory in Belleville, Ill.
