Betty L. Gummersheimer, 72 yrs., of East Carondelet, IL, passed away at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Gorham, IL, the daughter of the late William Henry and Nina (Cleveland) Gulley. She was married to Earl J. Gummersheimer, who survives her. They were married on May 12, 1962, in Columbia, IL.Betty was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ in Columbia, where she had been active with the kitchen committee, American Legion Post 581 Aux., Golden Girls - 4H Leader, Monroe County Farm Bureau Women's Committee, Monroe County Pork Producers - Past President, and Columbia Women's Club. She had retired as a title clerk with Reiss Ford, Marissa, IL and Pay Later Auto Sales, Cahokia, IL.
